This blend came out of several sample rounds: 50% merino wool for warmth, breathability and natural odor resistance. 45% acrylic for durability and structure. 5% elastane, so the fit stays easy and the shape comes back after every wash.

Merino mostly takes care of itself. Air it out overnight and it's usually fresh again. When it does need a wash:
Machine wash cold (30 °C) on a wool cycle, or hand wash
Mild wool detergent, no fabric softener
Turn inside out before washing
Lay flat to dry, no tumble dryer
If needed, light steam instead of ironing
